Everyone is welcome to join our social sessions.

All of us were beginners when we joined the club, and regular play has improved everyone’s skills. Get in touch with us and have a hit with one of our members and we can certainly give you feedback on how your ability fits in with others. We have a wide range of skill levels in the club, though you should be able to get a game against anyone. If you are a complete beginner to badminton, then we recommend that you get some coaching to pick up the basic skills first.

Yes, we can support this. Our members book games on our portal and you do need to do so at least 24 hours before the game. If you leave it too late to book then you may not find a partner in time. Also, bear in mind that if you cancel your game past a deadline then you will not only bear the responsibility of the entire court cost, but it’s also considered rude (unless there are extenuating circumstances, of course).

You will be introduced to the club when you join via our members-only WhatsApp group, so everyone will see that you are joining us. Using our web-based booking portal, you can either add your name to an existing incomplete booking, or you can add your name to an empty court and wait to see if other members add their name next to yours. If not, simply ask for players for your given day/time/location on the WhatsApp group and you will find that there is usually someone interested to play.

We only use good quality feather shuttles.

  • Food and drinks are not permitted in the courts.

  • All areas within the hall are strictly nonsmoking zones.

  • Children are always welcome but must be supervised & are the responsibility of their parent or accompanying adult at all times – both on and off the court.

  • Committee will not tolerate discrimination of any kind.

  • Ideas, suggestions & general feedback, together with any misconduct or disagreements, should be raised with the DO or a committee member or write to committee@letsbadminton.com.au (so Committee can discuss these ideas and suggestions at a future meeting) ensure the continual improvement of our badminton club.
